Overall, i did enjoy this album. While not as much as ‘Its on tonight’, i still think this is one of BC’s best. One noticeable difference is the greater emphasis on rnb. At times it worked extremely well, such as in ‘Another love’ and ‘Skies wide open’ but then not so well in ‘I wanna love you’. I am biased, however, towards songs predominantly piano driven, but for those who love rnb, you should dig this album. Of the piano songs, i particularly liked ‘Thats life’, ‘It’s time’, ‘I don’t know’ and ‘Forever’. Something that was really pleasing was hearing the violin in songs like ‘It’s time’ and in the transition of ‘I dont know’, it really does give the music that extra dimension. On the flip side, i would’ve liked to have heard more of the sax, which has been a feature of previous albums and perhaps the use of the occasional none-sense lyrics/singing, thats been used to great effect in songs like ‘Go’, ‘Come on up’, and ‘Get it on’. Other than that, i think this was a job well done and (as always) brings happiness to your day
