The only Usher album I’ve ever listened to other then this was his most popular one, ‘Confessions’, which I liked a lot so I decided to check out his new one. That was a bad mistake….. This has some good songs on it, but not many…. The only songs that sounded good to me where-
Monstar: I loved this joint, it sounds like something MJ would make
Hey Daddy: The best song on the album
Foolin Around: This reminds me of the songs on “Confessions” so I loved it
Guilty: I didn’t “get” this one at first, but the chorus grew on me
The rest of this album is very mediocre….If I had to say anything good it would probably be that I KIND OF liked the production on ‘Lil Freak’. The rest of the album however is a mixture of annoying pop, synth beats and boring ballad songs with no cool melodies or hooks.
Iumak gives this one a 3/10
