   I have to admit that I just don’t get it. People will rush out in droves and purchase this collection of recycled Chuck Berry riffs and ballads that would make Lionel Ritchie gag while the works of far more deserving artists (say, Marshall Crenshaw) stay on the shelf.No accounting for taste, as the saying goes.Anyway, folks , here it is and just in time for the holidays too! The perfect stocking stuffer for the great unwashed.Get yours now.

   Oh no Bob, you did not try to cover Tom Wait’s jazzy “New Coat of Paint”!!! That’s just not your style. Only Tommy Waits can do this song. Go get “Heart of Saturday Night”, the songwriting on that alvum is way better than any Seger…

   I just bought my two favorite artists LATEST releases, One was GREAT and one left me with a sour feeling. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big Bob Seger fan, but with this compilation, I was hoping that the Greatest Hits – volume one, which was truly lacking, would be thoroughly complemented. Sadly, the record company was wide of the mark, big time. They must be pulling our legs! Way too many goodies and hits are missing, and we could have easily done without the new songs.

   Speaking of NEW songs, I also bought the comeback album buy another veteran group and one of my all time favorite bands…DEEP PURPLE. Their new album -Bananas- is easily the best album I have heard this year, knocking -Say You Will- by Fleetwood Mac down to second place. Bananas has great songs, terrific musicianship, fantastic production and a perfect running order. BRAVO DP!!! It is also much, much stronger than the new Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pat Benatar and ZZ Top releases.

   I had both his cd’s and if there were higher stars he’d get more from me!!! all my cd’s were stolen about 4 months ago I had some really ROCKIN’ TUNES!!!!! They were stolen by a towing company the police called to have my truck towed due to an accident I was in. BUMMER!!!!! But this cd is SWEET AND I KICK IT ALL THE TIME!!!!!!
