As trip would re-define it. Meaning music that uplifts Jesus and the name of GOD and it’s clear Trip’s songs do just that. I don’t know if it’s his words or the way he delivers them with his talent but I tend to enjoy a lot of the music he puts out and with this album that doesn’t change. This is Trip’s third album and it’s the same goodness you expect.

As you can see for me it’s a good album. 12 out of 15 tracks will be in my rotation. I’m happy with the album and will enjoy playing it for years to come. Some of my personal favorites would be ‘I Love Music’, Life 101 and ‘The Invasion (Hero)’. If you’re a long time Christian Rap fan you Should’ve bought this already. If you’re breaking free of secular rap remember, Don’t get it Twisted, Get It Righteous!

Wow, this CD is absolutely amazing. Trip Lee shows again why he’s known as the 116 clique’s theologian. The contrast between 20/20 (How we should see God) and Between Two Worlds (How we should see ourselves) is immaculate. The songs all sound great and its good to see Trip stretch out and try new styles. The featuring artist are a lot more varied here and they all fit well (meh…except for Needham maybe, lol) Trip’s last CD peaked @ 193 on the Billboard 200, proof that Christian rap music is starting to turn a lot of heads. This one peaked at 58! Quite a jump in two years. As long as these guys stay true to the Word they are going to have a huge impact for Christ!

Reviewers Genre Experience:
Trip Lee is the first “gospel rapper” I ever listened to. 20/20 was the album and I was so shocked to hear that Gospel had rap music that was better than a lot of secular rap. 20/20 must have stayed in my cd player 6 months straight. Then I listened to Tedashii, Thisl, Sho Baraka, R-Swift, DA TRUTH, & some more but wasn’t quite as impressed as I was with Trip Lee. That is until i discovered Lecrae’s album Rebel. I definitely feel like the message & work of all these artists is awesome but Lecrae & Trip Lee are on top of the Christian Rap game.
Album Perspective:
Well articulated views & experiences on this album as expected. Trip’s flow is top shelf and entertaining. The production I feel is better than 80% of the secular rap on the airwaves these days. Reminds me of true, real hip hop. Not some drop out playing with fruity loops in his moms basement. Total album ranks 7.5 out of 10 in my book.
Fav Tracks:
Covenant Eyes is hot. The music reminds me of a high suspense chase scene from something like Bourne Identity. Trip goes hard spittin on this one.
Life 101 has an uplifting, encouraging melody to it. Nice two-step song with a message you can praise God for.
Twisted is the best track on the album. Hard beat, dope lyrics, honorable content. “God done it, did it, got it, good!”
My Lord is a classic track. Real hip hop. Awesome message.
Not So Fav Tracks:
Bear With You reminds me of some Soldier Boy, Rosco Dash candy rapper, fruity loops, beat machine, “Now Walk It Out”, production. The lyrics are on point just not feeling the track.
If you liked 20/20, you’ll like this one. I like 20/20 better but probably because it was my first taste of the genre. Great album, good buy, must have.

Trip Lee is a great Christian rapper he always says what’s on his mind no matter what a lot like Lecrae. What I like about this album is that he brings something new that his former albums were missing. One thing that I don’t really like about this album is that it kind of sounds electronic a lot like Lecrae’s first album “Real Talk” but I think Trip Lee managed to pull it off. He has some very good lyrics and some very good rappers come on like Tedashii, Lecrae and even Thisl who I’ve never heard before. But if your not going to buy the album at least buy the song “Twisted” I think that is by far the best song on the album but I really like “No Worries” as well.
It won’t disappoint!!!!
